DESCRIPTION:Did you know treatment for a Snake Bite by a venomous snake is extremely expensive and that there is no guarantee your K-9 companion will recover?\nNAVHDA has partnered with David “The Cobra Kid” Weathers\, a professional venomous snake handler and animal trainer for a new and improved Snake Avoidance Clinic. The training aims to teach your dog to avoid the snake by conditioning them to the sight\, smell and sound of snakes. This type of training could save your dog’s life\, and possibly yours. David will handle several native snakes which will be contained in a safe environment and placed in normal hunting situations in the field. The snakes will be moved so each handler and dog will have new scent. Participants will learn about venomous snakes and their distinct features and natural habitat. We will add gunfire to the training\, since dogs have been bitten even after avoiding the snake because the handler shot at the snake. Training will incorporate the element of a verbal command\, since a handler’s natural reaction to a snake is often verbal. \nWho Should Attend:\nAnyone\, this is not just for member bird dogs! DESCRIPTION:Fellow Dog Lovers! \nNow Open for Registration! \nYour FPC of NAVHDA is holding our first ever combined Canine Trauma/First Aid Clinic and Fundraiser.  It will be at GMHT on June 10th\, 2023.  We will start promptly at 9:00am. \nWe are lucky and honored to have Amanda Inman DVM\, a tremendous upland huntress and VHD Owner share her time and expertise with field dog trauma. \nLearn how to provide life-saving techniques for your beloved\, trained (or soon to be trained) 4 legged hunting partner. \nHunting and hiking in the great outdoors can provide unexpected surprises and accidents for your 4 legged partner.  Often enough\, the closest Vet could be hours or a day away!  This course will leave you with the skills to stabilize your dog for the best outcome in a tricky situation until you can get them to a Veterinarian. \nWe will take a couple of breaks\, and of course one for lunch.  FPC will provide snacks and drinks.  Bring your own lunch. \nEach attendee will receive a customized and comprehensive Canine Field Trauma/Aid kit\, that includes a stapler and Celox. \nThe cost per person will only be $200.00\, go to our online store now to purchase; spaces are limited. \nCLICK HERE TO PURCHASE \nThank you for all you do!\nFPC BOD
