It is hard to believe 2025 is leaving us! We had a great fall test! We thank our judges for dedicating their weekend to us, our Senior Judge Glen Basco was not only our senior judge but shared a wealth of knowledge to our chapter members over the weekend. He is a very supportive judge and NAVHDA is fortunate to have such a quality driven individual. We also had 2 great judges Mike Laconto and Kyley Caldwell, both very knowledgeable, helpful and supportive. We hope they get to judge for us again in the future! We are also excited to let you know that every Palmetto chapter NA dog prized last fall. They worked hard all summer and it paid off with those prizes! Can’t wait to see you all work on your Gun dog test!
We offer 2 tests per year, Spring and Fall. Amanda Gruhn our test secretary works very hard at getting all the entry paperwork organized and to the judges for our dogs. Amanda also secures our judges and we are honored for her dedication. We are excited to announce our spring test will be in March and we will begin accepting entries the second week of January – more to follow.
Our test also financially performed the best this fall thanks to all of our volunteers and participants! Normally we loose money but this year nearly broke even! A huge thank you to Nikki and Rob Feldman! Nikki was able to get many businesses to donate their products for our raffles! Thank you Nikki and Rob for organizing as it helped our bottom dollar. Also we had several individuals donate towards our judges flight cost, huge thank you to you as that is one of our larger expenses with the cost of flying these days. Also thank you to Scot, Jeff, Roy , Tracy and Dave for transporting our three judges from and back to the airport that’s a huge help. It takes us all to have a successful test and many more names that helped for the weekend and we thank you because every amount is critical for a successful test. Thank you!
Everyone have a safe and Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing you Jan 10th! Wear your orange!
